How to use Book Corner

A LITTLE HELP FOR YOUR FIRST CHAPTER

Welcome to your Book Corner.

Start with one book, then choose what you want to do next. This guide explains every member tab and the steps behind the most common tasks.

Add your first book

✧ Your first three steps

  1. Make this corner yours. In Personalization, set your corner name, yearly goal and local time zone. Your time zone determines your reading days.
  2. Add a book. Open Add a Book, enter its title and author, choose a status, format and source, then press Save book. Library loan status can stay blank for books you haven’t borrowed. Premium research can help fill details, but always check the edition and correct missing or inaccurate information.
  3. Find your saved book. Open Book Log and select its title to view or edit it. Set its status to Currently Reading when you begin. Add a separate record for each reread to keep its history independent.

On a phone, use the bottom shortcuts for Home, Books, Quick Add and Clubs. Tap More or the top menu to find every tab, including this guide below Settings.

What would you like to do?

On desktop, the tab menu is on the left. On mobile, Home means Dashboard, Books means Book Log, and Quick Add means Add a Book. Use More to find the full menu. The New Member Guide is below Settings.

Find your way around

Each card uses the same name as its website tab. Select a name to open that feature.

Dashboard

Your yearly goal, current reads, library due dates, challenge and next reward. The reward card lists the challenges needed to earn it.

Book Log

Your saved reads, covers, ratings, genres, tropes and spice ratings. Search, filter, change columns or select a title to edit it. Unread Library Books has its own section directly below Currently Reading; owned unread books are separate. Library labels identify borrowed-source copies in every reading-status section. Section arrows remember your layout during this tab’s signed-in session.

Series

Reading progress includes all distinct series volumes you have tracked, including wishlist and library books. Finished reads count whether owned or borrowed; ownership is a separate collection measure. Add missing titles to Books I still need, then use I purchased this to fill Add a Book. Use Add to Book Log · choose source to read a missing book as a library, ebook, audiobook or owned copy. Review the format and Currently Reading or Unread / TBR status, then Save book. Borrowed copies stay on the wishlist; owning a saved copy clears its wishlist entry. Wishlist books stay out of Next Read. Only the volumes you track are counted, not every published volume.

Add a Book

Manual entry is available to everyone. Premium members can research book details; unknown fields can remain blank. Save book adds the read to your log.

Habits / Progress · Premium

Update pages, ebook percentage or audiobook position, see daily totals and streaks, and mark current reads finished. Active trials include this feature.

Reading Tools

Choose your next unread owned book or record reading/listening session time. Free members receive three Next Read picks per month; Premium members have unlimited picks.

Challenges & Rewards · Premium tools

Create reading programs, challenges and rewards. You can save a challenge before assigning a book. Link rewards to the challenges required to earn them. Existing records remain viewable after Premium ends.

Book Clubs

Join site-managed clubs, suggest future picks and vote. Premium members can also create and join member-managed clubs. No chat or direct messaging is offered.

Buddy Reads · Premium

Read with one other Premium member who follows you and whom you follow. Both enable Social sharing; invitations require acceptance and a matching book from each Book Log. Only that book’s status and page, percentage or audio position are shared. Update it in Habits / Progress. Either person can end the read; blocking, unfollowing or switching sharing off ends it too. Optional dates are goals, not automatic book updates.

Book Reviews

Write a private review. Community publication requires your explicit submission and site-administrator approval; editing an approved review removes it from the community until it is approved again.

Social

Optional sharing and following, controlled by profile settings. Private profiles approve follow requests. Free members can make five new follows or requests per local day; Premium members have no daily cap.

Personalization

Set your corner name, goal, time zone, accent and default Book Log view.

Mobile Access

Instructions for adding Book Corner to your phone’s home screen. An internet connection is required.

Settings

Membership information, preferences, policy review, account backup and security controls.

TBR Treats Shop ↗ opens the separate TikTok profile in a new tab. Purchases there are separate from Book Corner membership.

Which reading tool should I use?

Book Log: my book details

Save or correct a title, format, total length, reading status or position. Choose a title to open its details. These corrections do not count as reading activity.

Habits / Progress: how far I read

Premium and trial members enter the page, percentage or audiobook position reached. Forward changes add to that day’s activity and reading streak.

Reading Tools: how long I read

Use Reading & Listening Time Log to record the time spent reading or listening. It does not advance the book’s position. Next Read is also on this tab.

Record pages read today

In Habits / Progress, update a Currently Reading book from its saved position to the page you reached. Going from page 200 to 250 adds 50 pages; updating to 270 later that day brings the total to 70. Daily reading totals come from progress updates, not corrections made in Book Log.

Track Kindle/ebook percentage

Choose Kindle/Ebook and select Percentage done in Add a Book or Book Log. Enter 0–100%, with an optional decimal. Premium Habits / Progress records increases as percentage points: 20% to 30%, then 35% the same day means 15 percentage points read. Pages are not estimated. Book Log corrections and switching modes do not create daily reading activity; pages and percentages remain separate. Reaching 100% does not change status until you mark the read finished. Mark as finished sets percentage to 100% without requiring a page count.

Track an audiobook or listen alongside a book

Select Audiobook as the format to track listening position in hours and minutes instead of pages. For print or ebook reading with audio alongside it, check Reading & listening together in the book editor; your main format and chosen page or percentage tracking stay the same.

The Reading & Listening Time Log records session duration separately. Logging an hour does not automatically advance your page or listening position.

Finish a book and celebrate your goal

Premium members can use Mark as finished in Habits / Progress when the total pages or audio duration is known, or when an ebook uses Percentage done. This completes the remaining position and moves the read to Finished in Book Log. Add a missing page/audio total in Book Log first. Percentage-based ebooks finish at 100% without a page total. You can also edit a read’s status and completion date in Book Log; that correction does not add daily reading activity.

Your annual goal counts reads marked Finished with a completion date in your current local year. When you reach the target, a celebration appears. Dismissing it is remembered for that year and target.

Choose my next read

Next Read draws only from unread books you own. It excludes library books, Currently Reading, Finished and DNF reads. Choose standalone, a series you haven’t started, or a series you are continuing. Series suggestions depend on the series names and numbers saved in your log.

Read together, quietly

Join a club, suggest a book and vote

Open Book Clubs, explore a club and select Join club. Free members can join site-managed clubs. Premium member-managed clubs require Premium.

In site-managed clubs, Book Club Picks accepts a title and author from the 15th through the 20th each month, using the club owner’s saved time zone, before voting opens. Outside this window the box shows Recommendations are locked and the next opening date. On the 14th, club members see an in-site reminder on Dashboard or Book Clubs; dismissing it is remembered in that browser for the month. You may submit two picks per club voting cycle. Suggestions go privately to the site owner for review; submission does not guarantee a poll place. This suggestion feature is not available in Premium member-managed clubs.

Only eligible club members can vote. Each poll permits one vote per member, and submitted votes cannot be changed. The club administrator controls whether running totals are shown.

Find the monthly book and mark the club read finished

After the administrator selects the winning book, its banner begins on the first of the following month in the club owner’s time zone. Under Finished book club book, check the completion box to list your name for fellow club members. Uncheck it to clear your completion. This is separate from your personal Book Log. Before a current read is available, the box explains when it will become active.

Share only what I choose

In Social, choose whether to share and review your privacy settings. Following does not enable chat or comments. Private notes are not shared. Use block and report controls if needed; follow requests for private profiles require approval.

Challenges & rewards, step by step

Creating and editing these tools requires Premium or an active trial. Saved records remain viewable when Premium ends.

Create a program, then a challenge
  1. Open Challenges & Rewards and expand Create a reading program. Give the program a name and date range, then select Create program.
  2. Inside that program, expand Add challenges & rewards. Add a challenge prompt and dates within the program’s dates.
  3. Choose a Currently Reading or unread TBR book, or leave the book blank and assign it later. Select Save challenge.

A program is the container; its challenges are the individual reading goals. Add another book record for a separate reread rather than changing an earlier read.

Link a reward and understand when it is earned

In your program’s Add challenges & rewards section, enter a reward name, optional deadline and the required challenges, then select Save reward. A linked reward requires all its selected challenges to qualify. Finishing after the reward deadline does not qualify. Your Dashboard reward card lists the challenges required.

Saved reading status and completion dates determine challenge results. Correcting a linked read can recalculate its reward. Personal rewards are goals you set yourself.

Edit or delete a whole program

Open the program you want to manage and use its edit controls. Delete entire reading program removes the program and its challenges and rewards. Use an individual challenge’s or reward’s delete control to remove only that item. Read the confirmation and type DELETE only when you intend permanent removal. Your Book Log reads are kept.

Your account & a little help

Compare Free and Premium in Settings. The seven-day no-card trial includes Premium features. Payments are currently unavailable; the site does not offer checkout or automatic renewal charges.

Use Settings to download a backup of your reading records, preview an import before restoring, reset your password or revoke remembered sessions. Account deletion is permanent and has its own confirmation. Settings also offers a password-confirmed account-information download with your profile and selected community/policy records. It is separate from the importable reading backup. Neither file includes other members’ private information, internal investigations or mailbox/provider records; contact support for a broader privacy request.

I saved a book, but cannot find it

After a successful save, Add a Book clears for your next entry and shows a saved message. Open Book Log, clear its search/status filters and expand the matching reading-status section. If saving failed, read the error and correct it; your entry stays available. To add the same title as another read, select the reread confirmation before saving.

How do I delete a book or correct its details?

In Book Log, select the title to open its details. Make corrections and select Save book. Expand Delete this read to remove that read permanently after its confirmation; other reads of the title remain. You can also select multiple books in Book Log and use Delete selected books. Linked challenges may need replacement books.

Why is a feature asking for Premium?

Open Settings → Membership & subscription to see your trial or paid-through dates and the Free/Premium comparison. After a trial or paid term expires, saved reading data remains, but Premium tools may be unavailable. A renewal preference alone does not authorize a payment.

Keep my account and reading information private

Use Social to decide whether to share at all, choose a public or private reading profile, and manage follows or blocks. Public profiles are visible to registered members. Notes and account email are not shared through Social. Use Settings to review policies, revoke sessions and remembered sign-ins, or download your account information. Never send your password to support.
